Over the years BCN have seen some interesting changes in the industry from rental businesses back in the day having a few 12x12 inflatables, to those same businesses now having proper branding, a huge range of products from interactive games, inflatables of all sizes, photobooths, rodeo bulls, hot tubs, marquees and now monstrous slides and custom event products requiring specialist transportation – growing their inventory year on year.

Watching our customer base and industry evolve gives us a great sense of achievement, so we try our best to bring you new tools to help you manage the changing nature of your businesses and this new feature is one such tool.

For those of you that have LARGE or specialist items, where the usual delivery prices/process doesn’t cover the cost of delivery & set up for stuff like Games Trailers – Game Shows – Wipe Out circuits etc you can now add an additional surcharge specific to the asset.

Once enabled it creates an “Item Delivery Charge” box within the pricing box for Products and Packages. This defaults to 0.00 for all items so you can add in your surcharges.

This can be turned on via the Settings / Delivery / “Use per-asset delivery charges?”

These surcharges are totalled for the full order and added to the Delivery Area charge (if there is one).

It does not negatively affect discount codes, tax, overnight hires, multi-day hires, time-slots, or other additions.

If there are any unforeseen consequences, you can simply turn the “Use per-asset delivery charges?” off and the site will function exactly as it was.
